Joseph Padgett is a founding partner of Hamilton & Padgett Law and leads the firm’s Brunswick office. He focuses his practice on personal injury and wrongful death cases, with deep experience in motor vehicle negligence and trucking accident litigation across both Georgia and Florida.
A native of Coastal Georgia, Joseph previously owned and operated semi-trucks in the Savannah area, giving him firsthand knowledge of the transportation industry. He began his legal career defending trucking and insurance companies but quickly shifted to representing injury victims, using the insights he gained to advocate for those harmed by negligence.
His dedication to his practice has earned him recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2023 to 2025, an honor bestowed upon only the top 2.5% of attorneys under 40 in Georgia. Joseph is bilingual in Spanish and proudly represents Spanish-speaking clients throughout Southeast Georgia. He is also a member of the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys and a graduate of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association LEAD program.
Outside of the courtroom, Joseph enjoys life in Brunswick with his wife Julia and their three children.
